About AOYI POWER

Beijing Aoyi Xinyuan Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. It is a National High-Tech Enterprise dedicated to smart monitoring for renewable power plants. Its core product, the NSA-series Smart Station Monitoring Unit (box transformer monitoring unit), serves 1,000+ solar, wind and energy-storage projects across 31 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions and in Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and other countries, with more than 50 GW of cumulative capacity. These include the 900 MW solar plant in Pakistan, then the world's largest single-site.

In 2012 AOYI launched the NSA2, the industry's first Smart Station Monitoring Unit combining transformer measurement & protection, communication gateway and fiber-ring switch. One unit replaces the box transformer monitoring unit, communication gateway and fiber switch, cutting generation-side secondary-equipment investment by about two thirds. In 2014 the third-generation NSA3 added online monitoring of cable sheath grounding current and cable-joint temperature.

AOYI develops its technology in-house: about 20% of staff work in R&D, and the company holds 5 utility-model patents and dozens of software copyrights. It has undertaken a Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Innovation Fund project for technology-based SMEs. Its units run at plants built by China's five major power generation groups (China Huaneng, China Datang, China Huadian, SPIC and CHN Energy) and by central state-owned energy groups such as China Three Gorges, CNNC, CGN, China Resources Power, SDIC and CECEP, and ship factory-fitted by leading transformer manufacturers including TGOOD, TBEA and CHINT Electric.

Since 2013, founder Yao Yibo has led the company in supporting education and earthquake relief: funding scholarships at Harbin Institute of Technology, North China Electric Power University and his alma mater, Xinzhou No. 1 High School; donating to the Ya'an and Ludian earthquake zones; and working with the China Children and Teenagers' Fund to donate classroom libraries to rural schools in Gansu and elsewhere in western China.
